Glazed Sourdough Protein Donuts

Makes 3 donuts.
Sourdough donut:
  1. Preheat oven to 325F (163C).
  2. Mix Greek yogurt with egg whites until combined.
  3. Add remaining donut ingredients, and mix well.
  4. Spoon batter into a ziplock bag, and pipe into a silicone donut pan. (See this video for help:
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes, or just until cooked and firm. Don't overbake!
  6. Let cool, and remove from pan. Place donuts on a parchment-lined dish.
  7. Mix glaze ingredients, and pour over donuts.
  8. Place dish in the refrigerator to set the glaze.
  9. Enjoy!
A note about substitutions: because each type of protein powder has a distinct flavor and texture when baked, I would not try substituting different types of protein powders (other than whey) in this recipe. If you include the carbs of erythritol (a natural, zero-calorie sweetener), it adds approx. 4g per donut but does not change the calories.
