This Peanut Butter Protein Frosting is one of the simplest recipes. It combines vanilla whey protein powder with PB2 powdered peanut butter and a little water. To sweeten it up, I also throw in a dash of cinnamon. Mix it up, and you’re done!
I started making this when I first found some protein sludge recipes. Although I didn’t come across this particular recipe, I’m sure I’m not the only one who has discovered this great combination of ingredients! But “sludge” is what we called the diesel fuel during my sea-going days, so I prefer to call this “frosting.” And in fact, it makes a great topping for Double Chocolate Protein Cake!
I most often eat this in one serving, as a snack. I love peanut butter, but sometimes I want a lower fat, higher protein peanut butter snack. And this is so creamy and delicious!
