  • Blend peaches and whey powder until smooth.
    2 cups fresh peaches, 2 scoops vanilla whey protein powder
  • Freeze using your preferred method:
    - Freeze in a Ninja Creami pint and spin when ready to eat
    - Freeze an ice cream maker
    - Use the ice and salt method
    - Or freeze in a freezer-safe container and stir every 30 minutes until ready

Notes

Best Protein Powder for This Recipe:
This recipe uses vanilla whey protein powder. Whey creates a smooth, creamy texture in protein shake ice cream.
Whey/casein blends would also work in this whey protein ice cream recipe.
The texture and mouthfeel wouldn't be as smooth with plant-based protein powders, so I do not recommend using them.
Flavor Variations & Add-Ins:
You can mix in or top your protein homemade ice cream with:
  • Chopped fresh peaches
  • Crushed graham crackers for a pie-style flavor
  • A spoonful of Greek-style plant yogurt for extra creaminess
  • A few drops of almond extract
  • Cinnamon or nutmeg for fall vibes
For even more protein, blend in a few tablespoons of cottage cheese for a peach protein cottage cheese ice cream.
