About
Andréa’s Protein Cakery offers delicious recipes, baking mixes, and snacks made with protein powder. We use all-natural, gluten-free ingredients, making it easy to fuel your body and love your food!
We believe that with the right ingredients and recipes, it is possible to give your body the fuel it needs while truly enjoying your food. I struggled for many years with healthy food habits, partly because I didn’t know what my body needed and partly because I didn’t care enough about myself to make the effort. We hope to make it easy for you to enjoy healthy, satisfying desserts and snacks that treat your body well. You deserve it!
About me:
To read about me and how Andréa’s Protein Cakery began, please visit the About page of the online shop.
About the recipes:
All of the featured recipes have at least as many grams of protein as they do carbohydrates. That’s my definition of “high-protein.” In the Extras section you’ll find some recipes that don’t fit this profile, but they accompany the protein recipes very well.
I generally only use grains in recipes that require them, like oats in oatmeal cookies, and cornmeal in cornbread. If not necessary, I prefer to leave them out. I’m not a big fan of dairy, so you’ll notice I often make vegan-based frostings and creams. I don’t use any powders with artificial flavors or artificial coloring. Nature is incredible, and I think supplement companies should make more of an effort to explore and create with natural flavors!
We offer nutritional information (“macros”) for each recipe based on the specific products we used in the recipe, and we list this at the very top of each recipe post. We hope this makes it easy for you to find exactly what you’re looking for.

This may be a dumb question but can my kids eat these treats as well the are 6 and 2 1/2?
Hi Shawna,
Thanks so much for writing in! With the recipes posted here, I think it really depends on the particular brands of protein powder you choose. Some protein shake powders contain added supplements that would not be appropriate for children. The powders we use (and the mixes in our shop) are generally clean ingredients, but it would be best to check with your pediatrician if you have any concerns.
Thanks again for writing in!
Best,
Andréa
