🧁 Ingredients

  • Neufchatel cheese (⅓ less fat cream cheese, or cream cheese)
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Vanilla whey protein powder
  • Stevia (or your sweetener of choice)

👩🏼‍🍳 Instructions

Mix Neufchâtel cheese with Greek yogurt until smooth.

Add vanilla whey and stevia. Mix well.

Refrigerate to cool and set if frosting a cake, or enjoy as is. Store in the refrigerator.

🥣 Substitutions

If you have a whey/casein protein blend (like Quest protein powder or PEScience), you can use that here but you may need to add milk to get the right consistency.

🍓 Variations

Feel free to try other flavors whey protein powder, like this strawberry whey, or this chocolate whey.

Try adding flavorings! These Devotion Nutrition flavors would be great here.

🥄 Equipment

You'll need a bowl to mix the ingredients. I love this set of mixing bowls because they are easy to clean and have non-slip bottoms.

It would also be helpful to have a rubber spatula (to get all the frosting out of the bowl) and an offset spatula if you'll be frosting a cake or cupcakes (and not just eating this alone with a spoon).

For piping, these are my favorite piping bags. They are made of a smooth plastic that doesn't stick to itself or to your bowl scraper as you push the frosting down the bag.

And I always suggest measuring your ingredients with a kitchen scale instead of using volume measurements for best results.

🥶 Storage

Store the frosting in the refrigerator in an air-tight container.

    Hi Amanda,
I'm not sure which brand you're referring to, but if you like the protein as a shake, I'm sure it would be great in the frosting!
    :)
